Esta lección conecta directamente con tu progreso: cubre there is (singular); there are (plural); practicando los dos juntos.
01
Los objetivos de esta lección.
02
Ya sabes formar oraciones simples con "to be". Ahora aprendes una estructura distinta que usarás constantemente: "there is" / "there are", para decir que algo existe.
03
| Forma | Uso | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| There is | afirmar | There is a book. |
| There isn't | negar | There isn't a problem. |
| Is there...? | preguntar | Is there a bank? |
Ejemplos
04
Sigue exactamente la misma lógica que "there is", solo cambia "is" por "are".
| Forma | Uso | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| There are | afirmar | There are two chairs. |
| There aren't | negar | There aren't any eggs. |
| Are there...? | preguntar | Are there questions? |
Ejemplos
05

My neighborhood is small but nice. There is a park near my house, and there are many trees around it. There isn't a pharmacy on my street, but there is one two blocks away.
There are several good restaurants nearby, and there is a small market where I buy fresh fruit every Saturday. There aren't many cars, so it's very quiet. There is always a big surprise on my birthday — my neighbors organize a small party for me!

2. Is there a pharmacy on the narrator's street?
3. Where does the narrator buy fresh fruit?
